This is the playful opposite. Fabien Jouves farms on the causse, the high limestone plateau above the town, where his vines sit around 300 to 350 meters on clay and limestone, higher and cooler than the valley floor. That altitude and the limestone bring freshness and lift to Malbec, which is exactly what a wine like this is after: bright
